Dayne Young joined Mickey Plyler on 105.5 the Roar in Clemson, South Carolina. This will be a weekly segment at 8:05 am on Wednesdays where Dayne joins to discuss Georgia, the SEC, and college football. 

The UGASports recruiting staff was live on Monday night to discuss the current Georgia football recruiting class. 

The Class of 2023 has had some peaks and valleys. Just over twenty-four hours apart, Georgia gained the commitment of a top target and shockingly lost out on another. Jed May and I break down the big victory on the trail for Glenn Schumann and company in receiving the verbal commitment from Troy Bowles. We also analyze what went wrong for Georgia in the recruitment of Justice Haynes as the Georgia legacy running back committed to Alabama.

There are massive decisions upcoming, and Georgia has a chance to climb up in the Rivals team rankings quickly. Jamaal Jarrett, Kelton Smith, and Joenel Aguero all decide this week. If Georgia were to land all three, the Dawgs could be sitting as high as No. 3 in the Class of 2023 team rankings by the end of July 23.

The recruiting trail is heating up in the month of July for Georgia. Since July 1, UGA has landed five commitments across three classes. In the Class of 2023, both Daniel Harris and Raylen Wilson have made their pledge to Georgia public. The Class of 2024 has been kick-started by Colquitt County teammates and offensive weapons Ny Carr and Landen Thomas. The Class of 2025 received its first commit just yesterday in Philadelphia area running back Jabree Coleman.

The UGASports recruiting staff touched on what each of these commitments mean for UGA and what these prospects bring to the table. Also, the Dawgs are likely to stay hot in July, with many top Class of 2023 targets set to make decisions.
